Oak Beans

Use the StaVin Oak Bean in tanks when you have a shorter timeframe to oak your wine or want to touch it up. The Beans are cut from our fire-toasted staves and offer a quicker extraction rate and deliver the same complex flavor compounds as the staves.

We also offer 2 other bagged products for tanks using the two additional toasting preparations: Savour Oak String Bean and Barrel Head Long Bean. Both can be used separately or in combination with the fire-toasted Beans. Blending these products, with micro-oxygenation, can help you replicate any of your favorite barrels.

During fermentation Beans are a natural oak product for initiating the stabilization of color and for cross-linking tannins. Early use of Beans in red wine production helps build a wine’s structure, which improves mouthfeel and deepens red wine color.

The Oak Bean is a high quality fire-toasted solution with minimum 3-year seasoning designed to enhance your wine programs during fermentation, aging or touch-up before bottling.
