Fermentation Oak Chips and Granular

All Fermentation Oak Chips and Granular are produced out of StaVin’s natural 3-year seasoned oak.  You now have 3 choices that will easily integrate into your crush protocol.

Our Savour Oak Fermentation Chips utilize a long cycle convection oven toast designed to assist you with color stabilization and structural enhancement compounds during fermentation.

You can also order mouthfeel-enhancing untoasted Fermentation Chips, which have more hydrolyzable tannins and will add more structure and body, with less aromatics, to a red wine.

For fast extraction, a third choice is our Granular, which is a by-product from the kerf loss when cutting our StaVin Medium, Medium Plus and Heavy Fire-Toasted products. The Granular is clearly an economic method to incorporate color stabilization compounds into your red wine.
